Recently Published UK-US (English-language) Books on Psychotherapy Available for Review (July 2025)
We currently have about 60 books that all need - (someone like you?) - to review them. If you want to review one of these books (below), just copy the author, title etc. and send us an e-mail here with your postal address, and you will then receive a review copy of the published book. For 'Information & Guidelines about Writing a Book Review' please go here.
You can also apply directly to the publisher and request review copies (now often in e-book format) quoting "International Journal of Psychotherapy" and my name on the application form for review copies. Please let me know if you do so, so that I can keep track of publishing the reviews. (e.g.: Taylor & Francis + Routledge Group: here)

NB: Inclusion of a book on this listing (above) means: (i) that we have been sent a printed copy of the book for reviewing and are ready to send it out; unfortunately, (ii) this does not guarantee that a review will be published any time soon, as we are totally dependent on the interests and predilections of our many international reviewers. However, any of the above books can be posted out immediately to anyone willing to read it and then write a review. Then you get to keep the book! Waiting is Fullness!
If you are interested in reviewing any one of the above books for the IJP; and if you have reviewed books before; or if you are in psychotherapy training and fancy writing a book review; please contact us here and we will send you your choice. These are all review copies of recently-published books that have been sent to us by the publishers. We usually expect a Book Review to be written within about a month.
Having written the review and sent it in, we will check out the review and respond, so that the review is ready for publication. You then get to keep the book for yourself! But please, please, please also let the publisher know about your review (and send them a copy) - even if it is a negative one!
Short book reviews (600-800 words) do not now have to be refereed ('double-blind peer-reviewed').
We also hope to build up similar facilities soon for books and reviewers in other languages and from other countries. Please see also the IJP website page on Book Review Editors, here
